I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my Five for Friday!
1.
We're in the midst of our shape unit in math right now.
The kiddos are absolutely loving the "inside scoop" on how to draw the 3-D shapes.
I love that I'm now finding cube, prism, and cone doodles all over everything!
2.
On Wednesday, the husband and I walked to dinner. we live about a mile away from a downtown area with shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, we learned our lesson that from now on when we walk to dinner, we'll be checking the weather before we leave even if the sun is shining bright. We ended up running home after dinner as the skies opened up and rain poured down on us.
3.
We made these cute little flags with our reading buddies on Thursday.
Let me tell you, flags were waving while we stood outside for dismissal that day.
4.
Lately, we have had pandora playing constantly.
(The Easy Listening & Adele stations are the classroom favorites.)
I just love to look around and see my sweet second grades working away and singing along.
5.
We have some memorial weekend getaway plans for Sunday & Monday.
But first, I have some painting plans set for Saturday.
A little more yellow will be making it's way into our lives.
Welcome to blogging! I love finding other 2nd grade bloggers.

Thanks! I'm to check your out too :)
DeleteWe love Pandora in our class too! My go-to station is Solo Piano Music. Someday I'll pay to get the commercial free subscription....
ReplyDeleteGlad to have found another second grade blogger!

Hippo Hooray for Second Grade!
yeah I'm just not willing to pay when there is a free version. For now we deal with the commercials.
DeleteHi there! I just found you through the 5 for Friday and your blog is so cute! LOVE your math anchor chart! That is a personal goal of mine to get over NOT having the best handwriting and just MAKE tons of them with the kids because they really do anchor their learning! I am happy to be a new follower and have yourself a fabulous weekend!

Thank you! I love making anchor charts with my kiddos (even if they are not perfect.) My students love it too! They're always so engaged when we're making them and continue to reference them in the days that follow.
DeleteHello, found your blog through the linky party. I love that paint color, would love to do that in my house but a little hesitant. Maybe you could post of your finished product. I am your newest follower.
